Let’s start with one simple question: Do you know 100% for sure where you will go when you die? If you can’t answer that question with absolute certainty, keep reading. The Bible says that you can know for sure (1 John 5:13).

The word “gospel” literally means “good news.” It refers to what Jesus has done to rescue us from our sin, restore our relationship with God, and give us eternal life with Him in heaven. It’s the best news you will ever hear!

Did you know that God created you with purpose? It’s true! The Bible begins with this in the book of Genesis, where we learn that God created mankind in His own image.

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…’ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:26–27

Being made in God’s image means that we reflect our Creator in certain ways—we have a soul, emotions, and a will. God made you with purpose. As your Creator, you were made to bring Him glory, and your life has real meaning.

When Adam and Eve were first created, they had a perfect, unhindered relationship with God. They walked with Him, talked with Him, and knew Him personally. So what happened?

Sadly, something entered the world that ruined that perfect relationship.

Do you believe that this world is messed up? People may disagree about what is wrong, but almost everyone agrees that something is not the way it should be.

The Bible explains that sin entered God’s perfect creation when Adam and Eve broke His one command in the Garden of Eden—you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The devil came as a serpent and tempted Eve to disobey God. Adam knew what was right, but he followed anyway. From that moment on, sin entered the world, and its effects spread to all people.

“Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.” Romans 5:12

This means that you, my friend, are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. Sin is anything that goes against God’s perfect character—doing what God says not to do, or failing to do what He commands us to do. Because of this, all of creation, including you and me, is under this curse.

Once you understand that you are a sinner under this curse, it leads to an important question—so what?

Sin is not just a problem; it has a terminal diagnosis. Because God is perfectly holy, He cannot allow sin into heaven. And because He is perfectly just, He cannot leave sin unpunished.

“For the wages (the fair payment) of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Our sin earns us death. This includes physical death (the separation of our soul from our body), spiritual death (separation from the life of God), and eternal death (being separated from God forever in hell, both in body and soul).

Think about it this way: if you saw a guilty murderer go free in a court of law, how would you feel? Something inside you would say that justice has not been served.

In the same way, God, who is perfectly just, cannot let sin go unpunished. This deadly problem must be dealt with rightly and fairly.

Only an innocent person can take the place of the guilty. We need a Savior, a rescuer, to free us from the curse of sin and to satisfy God’s perfect justice. So God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to do exactly that for you.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Jesus Christ died for you as your substitute, in your place. Every sin you’ve ever committed is like a drop of water in a cup, and that same cup holds every sin from every person throughout all of history. This is the sin that must be justly paid for.

This cup, the cup of God’s wrath, must be poured out, and it deserves to be poured out on us.

But when Jesus was on the cross, He who knew no sin became sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21). The full cup of God’s wrath was poured out on Him. And when God’s justice had been completely satisfied, Jesus cried out, “It is finished!” (John 19:30). He had fully paid the price for sin and died in your place.

But death did not win.

“Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

Every religion has a place where its founder or leader is buried and remembered. But Jesus was not defeated by death—He conquered it. And He is alive forevermore. We don’t look to a grave; we look to an empty tomb.

After three days, Jesus rose from the dead and was seen by over 500 eyewitnesses. His resurrection is a real, historical event. So what does this mean?

The curse of sin brings death, and death comes for everyone. But Jesus faced death and overcame it. How? Because Jesus is the author of life itself.

He said: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25–26

“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

So what should you do with all of this? It’s actually very simple. Today, you can receive the free gift of salvation that God offers to you.

Take a moment to ask yourself these questions:

  • Do you believe that you are a sinner?
  • Do you understand that you are guilty before God and that your sin separates you from Him and brings eternal punishment?
  • Do you believe that Jesus lived, died for your sins, and rose from the dead, just as the Bible says?
  • Do you want Him to be your Savior today?

If your answer to these questions is yes, then Jesus calls you to repent and believe. To repent means to turn from your sin and choose Jesus instead. To believe means to trust in Him alone to save you.

Let’s make it simple: you can pray right now and ask God to save you.
